Welcome to Gumlu State School.

Gumlu State School first opened in 1913.The community is beginning preparation for the 100 years celebration of providing education. The school is steeped in history with original documents dating back to 1913 maintained and currently being framed and preserved for the 100th celebration.

Gumlu State School is a Multiaged school with classes currently from Prep to year 7. Gumlu has a transition program for year 7 students with Home Hill Primary. This allow studets to meet other students that will be attending secondary schooling.

Our instrumental music program is delivered by Mrs Regina Lecequaria with all students engaged in the Guitar Program.

The schools Vision was developed from the values and beliefs of the school and members of the community. Parent and Community support to the school and commitment to student learning is very high. Four generations of family members have received their education at Gumlu and are currently still actively engaged in supporting the school.

The school is tseen as the hub of the community.
