Gumlu State School first opened in 1913. The school is steeped in history with original documents dating back to 1913 maintained and currently being framed and preserved for the 100th celebration.
Gumlu State School is a multi-aged school with classes currently from Prep to Year 7.
Gumlu has a transition program for Year 7 students with Home Hill State High School. This allows students to meet other students that will be attending secondary schooling.
